Turkey Fest is an annual event each spring in the downtown square of Henrietta. 6,000 people attended the festival in 2016. Turkey Fest is a family event and is not just for hunters with activities for everyone of all ages. Turkey Fest is a wild turkey festival that caters to pro hunt teams. Local ranches host and accommodate the teams, which consist of three members: a cameraman, caller, and marksman.
Clay County Pioneer Reunion or Pioneer Days is always the third weekend in September each year. This multi-day festival starts on Thursday with Military Appreciation Day offering free admission with a military ID. The festival includes a parade and a rodeo each year.
Looking for something to do? Visit the 1890 Jail Museum and Heritage Center located on N. Graham St one block west of the court house. The museum is open from March through the 1st week in December. Days open are Thursdays & Fridays, and 10-2 on Saturdays., 1-4 with free admission.
